What Paperwork Do I Need to Sell My Car to Curry Honda?
Selling your car, truck or SUV to us at Curry Honda won't take all day — expect a streamlined, easy process from start to finish. Any documents that you'll need to sign will be kept to a minimum so that we can transfer the ownership of your model without any hiccups. And while our team is trained to keep this exchange short and sweet, there are a few documents that you could bring to our dealership to make the process fly by even quicker. All paperwork below — besides the vehicle's title — is voluntary, so don't stress if you don't have this information. But if your home office holds one or two of these documents, bring them with you to receive your Edmunds True Market Value® in no time.
Title
Your vehicle's title is the only document that we will need to secure the sale of your vehicle. Just remember to bring it with you on your way to our dealership — no one likes to turn around to retrieve one piece of paper!
But I’m still making payments.
That's okay — most still are! If you still owe money on your vehicle's loan, just contact your loan provider for the payoff amount. Once you've settled your loan, the process is the same as if you've owned your vehicle all along!
But I’m still in my lease agreement.
We've got you covered. Simply contact your lender and request the payoff amount, negotiating if necessary since it may have risen in value since you first made your lease agreement. After your payoff amount is settled and the title is transferred to your name, you're ready to sell to us!
CARFAX® Vehicle History Report™
Did you list your vehicle online and run a CARFAX® Vehicle History Report™ to make your model more enticing? With most online buyers being fickle and difficult negotiators, we're glad that you decided to sell us your model instead. If you have your model's CARFAX® on hand, feel free to bring it with you to our dealership. Our team will look over the record for the number of owners, recorded mileage and more, but remember, since we have your model's VIN, we can run the CARFAX® ourselves. So don't worry if you don't have this information!
Warranty Documentation
Some used cars, depending on the model year, will still qualify for its original new car warranty from the manufacturer or an aftermarket warranty purchased from a dealership. And depending on if it's transferable or not, we'd love to see documentation! It'll raise its value, so if you have the paperwork to prove its coverage, bring it with you (along with your title) to sell us your model.
